    The Center for Women's Entrepreneurship at Chatham University (CWE) and SCORE® Pittsburgh partner to present a "Small Business Basics" workshop to women interested in starting their own business or expanding their current business. Entrepreneurs will provide lessons learned and experts in areas including sales, accounting, and financing will provide brief presentations and will be available for participant Q&A at this informal workshop.

    MyBusiness Startup to Product: Fall 2016

    MyBusiness Startup to Product is being held on Saturday mornings on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th of October at Chatham University's Shadyside Campus. This program includes intensive entrepreneurial training and is designed for women in the early stages of starting a business, with sessions designed to hone your concept, gain consumer feedback and insight into marketing and distribution, and learn to effectively pitch your business. The program will be facilitated by Co-Owner and Founder Meredith Meyer Grelli, MBA, of the award-winning Pittsburgh startup Wigle Whiskey. At the end of this program, participants will have a concise business plan, a vision for their business moving forward, and will be given an opportunity to pitch for funding, partnership, or other opportunities identified during the final session in front of a panel of regional stakeholders. Participants will also have access to networking opportunities and educational resources through the Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship. This program will cover: - Concept and product development - Marketing, sales, and distribution - Direct consumer feedback and focus groups - Financing your business - Pitching your business The deadline to apply is September 15th, 2016 and the class will be limited to ten participants, which will be selected based on their progress in their product and business development cycle to ensure the program effectively supports their efforts.
