Jennifer O’Mara

Jennifer O’Mara was born in Southwest Philadelphia and moved to Prospect Park when she was 13. In high school, Jennifer became a leader in student council, and started her involvement with the Pennsylvania Association of Student Council (PASC). While in college, O’Mara had to work three part-time jobs to afford her education, and she graduated with a dual degree in history and secondary education, and became certified to teach in the Commonwealth. For the past five and a half years, Jennifer has worked as Assistant Director of University Stewardship at the University of Pennsylvania. In her free time, she serves on the Board of Director for PASC, teaches organizational and personal time management to high school students. Her platform includes improving public education, increasing access to quality healthcare, fighting for working families and unions, expanding quality care for veterans, passing common sense gun legislation, supporting women’s rights, and protecting open space.
