Joanna McClinton

Representative Joanna McClinton, Esquire, is an active member of her community, fulfilling her lifelong passion of bettering the lives of others. After law school, she joined the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office where she was an assistant public defender for seven years. In her last year, she served as assistant chief of the East Zone, helping attorneys with case preparation. In 2013, McClinton became chief counsel to State Senator Anthony Hardy Williams. During this time, she developed policy and legislation, organized expungement fairs and public policy forums, and helped constituents with problems. McClinton is a former youth leader at her church, and a volunteer with Outreach to Youth, and Hands of Compassion American Sign Language Ministry. She was elected Board Member of the La Salle University Alumni Association Board of Directors. Joanna has also served as secretary of the Philadelphia Barrister’s Association and is currently the President of La Salle University African American Alumni Association.
