Tricia “Trish” Wertz

Trish Wertz is an educator, who started her career teaching history and English at Quakertown Middle School. Afterward, she taught special education students for Reading School District and Wilson School District. In 2006, Trish made the difficult decision to leave teaching to raise her sons after the tragic death of her husband, a police officer. Wertz continues her husband’s legacy by supporting her community through volunteering. She serves as vice president of Law Enforcement United, a non-profit organization that raises money for the families of fallen officers. She is a trustee of Concerns of Police Survivors, a similar organization that supports families of slain law enforcement officers. Trish is also on the board of directors for the Kyle Pagerly Memorial Fund. Finally, she organizes events to honor her late husband, Reading Police Officer Scott Wertz.
