Read on for some resources for commuters during this time.
Have some downtime in between class? Lounge spaces on campus are still open. Students must wear a mask and physically distance. Check out some of these locations or find your favorite spot: Falk Lounge, Buhl Atrium, Welker, Carriage House, and the Library.
Looking for a room to study in, or to participate in a virtual class in (with headphones?) Try:
Eastside and Eden Hall Campus lounge spaces are also available in the Eastside building atrium and EBC.
Check the Campus Services & Hours page for hours and details.
Looking for places where you can remove your mask and enjoy a meal? Check out the tent by the pond, the Mellon Board Room, and the Welker Room. These spaces are open all day.
Microwaves are available in the Carriage House and Falk Lounge.
Commuter lockers are available in Woodland, Falk, and at Eden Hall. This is a great way to reduce the amount of stuff you have to bring back and forth to campus. Stop by the Office of Student Affairs to reserve your locker (it’s free!).
Stop by the Office of Student Affairs for your care package. A new care package will be available every two weeks. Care packages include items like snacks, school supplies and wellness activities.
Throughout the semester we’ll have a free lunch where you can stop by and connect with other commuter students. Our commuter kickoff lunch is Monday, August 31st outside the AFC.
Every Wednesday at noon we’ll have a virtual commuter meet & greet. This is your opportunity to get to know the Chatham community. Each week will feature different Chatham faculty and staff.
It can be hard to meet other people or get involved on campus. Kelsey Peek is a student who coordinates commuter programs in the Office of Student Affairs. Kelsey is your personal concierge to help you get connected to campus and meet other people. Email Kelsey at Kelsey.peek@chatham.edu to schedule a meeting or to ask a question.
Check your email regularly for information about these and other activities. For more information contact Student Affairs at OSA@chatham.edu.
