Visits & Events

We are pleased to welcome visitors to Chatham University for safe and socially distant campus visits and tours.

Campus Visitor Requirements

Whether taking a tour or meeting someone on campus, we take the health and safety of our visitors very seriously, and we ask that all visitors adhere to these protocols and requirements.

  • All meetings or visits require an appointment
  • All visitors will need to receive a health screening  (via ChathamU app or in-person).
  • A mask or face covering is required inside and outside (when physical distancing not possible).
  • Physical distancing of at least six feet apart from others must be followed.

Visit our campus health protocols web page to review all the details.

Athletics Spectator Policy

Spectators are currently not allowed at indoor athletic competitions.

A limited number of fans will be allowed at outdoor home games. These spots are reserved for guests of Chatham players and Chatham community members. The President’s Athletic Conference does not currently allow spectators and fans from visiting teams at all PAC locations.

Chatham students must show a ticket upon arrival to the game by registering on My.Chatham. Guests of players will be supplied tickets at their respective coach’s discretion and need to show ID.

All attendees must remain masked at all times and follow social distancing protocols. Failure to adhere to the above guidelines will result in loss of attendance privileges for the remainder of the season.

Updated as of 4.1.21

Campus Events

On-campus events with public (non-Chatham community) attendance will not be allowed from June 2020 through April 2021.

Student and academic on-campus events with no outside public attendance are permitted as long as they follow campus health & safety protocols, group event attendance limits (Chatham, state or county requirements) and record attendance.  Beginning April 4, by order of the Pennsylvania Department of Health, the group event attendance limits are:

  • 25% of venue capacity (indoors)
  • 50% of venue capacity (outdoors)

Physical distancing of six feet must be observed, and attendees must be masked.

Wherever possible, recorded or real-time virtual attendance options will also be provided for those who cannot attend in person.

Additional guidelines and protocols for campus social events are below.

  • Social event spaces will be chosen according to reduced event occupancy guidelines to ensure that the room chosen can accommodate guests with social distancing.
  • Attendees must check in via an app (such as ChathamU or Slate), online form, or sign-in sheet.
  • Masks must always be worn in indoor events. Masks must also be worn at outdoor events when physical distancing of at least 6 feet is not possible.
  • Event seating and lay-outs options are designed to ensure physical distancing.
  • Given the current County and State mask guidelines, catering will not be permitted at indoor events in order to ensure that masks are worn at all times.
  • Event staff and guests are encouraged to utilize the sanitation stations located in each building to sanitize high touch areas before and during events.

Additional guidelines for staff and faculty on planning on-campus and virtual events can be found on the Special Events page of myChatham.
