2020 Día de los Muertos: ¡Celebremos el día de los muertos!

Tuesday, October 27, 2020
4:00 PM – 5:30 PM
Virtual Event

Cost: Free

Join us for our virtual 2020 Día de los Muertos event series at Chatham! Day of the Dead is a special celebration practiced throughout many Spanish speaking countries with indigenous roots. The celebration is different in every culture and is intended to celebrate life. For this first virtual event in our 2020 event series, students from Professor Mildred López's Spanish LNG161 and LNG261 classes will lead a presentation on the history and culture of this international holiday. We will play a virtual Día de los Muertos bingo game and make a paper flower craft. Supplies for crafts will be available at the JKM Library. A Zoom link will be sent to those registered prior to the event. These events are hosted as part of Chatham's Latinx Heritage Month celebrations and organized by Modern Languages, the JKM Library, the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and Counseling Services.
