Intersectional leadership – the challenges of bringing your 'whole self' to work and how we keep fighting to do so

Thursday, February 23, 2023
11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Carriage House

In a time when we are being encouraged to bring our “whole selves” to work, in reality, workplaces are still not completely safe places for people with marginalized identities. Dr. Cheryl Hall-Russell, Visiting Scholar in the Women’s Institute, works in the field of DEI where she performs organizational assessments and develops customized training for clients. Part of the work is to get employers to understand the concepts of inclusion and belonging. In this interactive workshop, Dr. Hall-Russell will share her experiences based on feedback from her clients and discuss how people are being acculturated to this idea. Can you really be you and succeed? Let’s hope so!
This workshop is open to all Chatham students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Please register for the lunch. Co-sponsored by Career Development, Women's Institute, Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (ODEI), Black Student Union (BSU), and the Latine Student Association (LSA).
