Fawn Walker-Montgomery

Fawn Walker-Montgomery is a McKeesport native with family ties to the police force, unions, and military veterans. Fawn has more than 10 years’ experience in non-profit management, human services, and is a well-known community activist. Currently in her second term on the City Council, Councilwoman Walker-Montgomery is the only sitting council person to submit reports, policy ideas, and ordinances to the administration. She has advocated for an inclusive process on determining how city resources are utilized. Her platform advocates fair funding for education, and building supportive, and inclusive polices that disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline. Fawn also wants to revitalize the economy by attracting business groups, labor unions, and even new industries such as robotics to the area. Walker-Montgomery highlights plans to end political corruption in Harrisburg, restore fiscal discipline by cutting wasteful spending, advocating for families, seniors, and job creators, and addressing the opioid epidemic through holistic treatment, and prevention plans.
