Lindsey Williams

Lindsey Williams gained national attention for defending whistleblowers of fraud, waste, and abuse against former employers at the National Whistleblowers Center (NWC). She helped employees get their jobs back, protected pensions, and advocated for protective legislation for whistleblowers. But then she found herself in need of those protections when the NWC illegally terminated her employment for attempting to organize a staff union. Lindsey refused a severance package that included a gag clause preventing her from speaking about the circumstances of her termination. Instead, she pursued a wrongful termination charge with the National Labor Relations Board, and after two years, she successfully settled her case. While in law school, Lindsey fought for the rights of injured workers, and in 2014, shifted focus on securing a quality education for every child. Lindsey has been involved in a variety or social and economic justice issues as a member of One Pennsylvania and as an Executive Board member of Fight Back Pittsburgh.
