Pamela “Pam” Snyder

District: PA-50

Party Affiliation: Democrat

Pamela “Pam” Snyder

Representative Pam Snyder has upheld her reputation as a hard worker who will fight her constituents on issues such as energy policy, economic development, tax reform and restraint, public education, gun rights, and reforming state government, even if it requires her to oppose rigid party leadership. Snyder is a proponent for coal and natural gas and the jobs they produce. In April 2014, Snyder was one of the four lawmakers named to a Legislative Task Force charged with investigating opioid prescription drug abuse. The result was a state-wade program that established guidelines for prescribing opioids, and funding for an emerging prescription drug monitoring program. Snyder has voted against Republican and Democratic budgets because they did not serve the needs of her constituents, included unreasonable tax increases, and unfair budget proposals. Her top priorities include public education, term limits for legislators, property taxes, transportation funding, and small games of chance.
