Clare Dooley

Clare Dooley is an army veteran and graduate of Rice University. While in the army she served as a generator mechanic, and earned the title of AUSA Soldier of the Year, and Soldier of the Quarter for the 1st Armored Division. After her service, she went to Loyola Law School, and became a partner at a law firm in Austin, Texas. Then, she retired to Latrobe, Pennsylvania, to start her own business caring for animals, and to become a nurse. Dooley’s life and career has been defined by care and service, and her legislative priorities reflect those values. Her platform includes commitments for better pay for workers, introduction of a severance tax, protection of clean air and pure water, advocating for more renewable energy to curb climate change, healthcare for all, more funding for public schools, and the legalization of marijuana.
