Jill Linta

Jill Linta is an advocate who focuses on civil rights, and the protection of the environment and wildlife. Formerly, she worked as the Assistant Hearings Administrator for the PA Insurance Department where she gained legal experience. Since 2000, Linta has been a trained poll watcher and has volunteered in every presidential election thereafter. In the fall of 2016, she became a trained legal observer for the National Lawyers Guild and has since been promoted to a coordinator. Her other passions include animal rescue and welfare issues. She has been a member of the Sierra Club since the late 1990’s and she served as Vice Chair from 2015-2017, and was elected Chair in January 2018. With the Sierra Club, Linta initiated Adopt-a-Highway involvement and led volunteers in cleanups. Linta also has experience with the Susquehanna River Cleanup, Dauphin County Animal Response Team, the Humane Society of the U.S., and the Tri-State Bird Rehabilitation and Rescue.
