Application Period: Empowering Women in Communities
This fall Chatham's Women's Business Center (CWBC) in partnership with the Hill CDC is offering a NEW training program called “Empowering Women in Communities Program” in the Hill District. This program is funded by PNC Foundation and is open to women who are residents of the Hill District or have a business in the Hill District.
The program will consist of:
· a 4-week introduction to entrepreneurship course for pre-start-ups (offered on Tuesdays, October 3rd until October 24th from 6-8pm at the Hill CDC)
· a 4-week business development course for existing businesses (offered on Tuesdays, November 7th until November 28th from 6-8pm at the Hill CDC),
· two financial training workshops and one-on-one financial counseling.
Programming will be facilitated by Jonnet Solomon, Founder & CEO of J. Solomon and Associates, LLC. Ms. Solomon is an independent accountant, specializing in small business accounting, bookkeeping and consulting. JSA, LLC also provides personal financial and tax planning services to individuals and families. Ms. Solomon is a graduate of Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
All training will be provided at no cost to the participants. Applications are open until 5pm on Friday, September 29th.
