The SBA Pittsburgh District Office is teaming up with CWE to offer an in-person workshop on how to go from Maker to Marketplace. If you’re an artisan or food maker with dreams of seeing your products online or on local market shelves, then this workshop is for you.
Small business owner Sarah Kaminski will share her entrepreneurial journey detailing how she turned her plant-based recipes into Best Ever Granola in 2020, into a brand that is found at 75 retailers in more than five states. Community & Membership Engagement Coordinator Michelle Price will discuss the Center’s programs and services to help entrepreneurs launch and scale their businesses. Also addressed will be the importance of defining a niche to selecting a business name and logo to marketing a business as you develop a business plan.
SBA Lender Relations Specialist Lynn Ann Vozniak will speak on the SBA’s three traditional lending programs and how to effectively articulate your funding needs to any lender by using the different elements in the SBA’s Lender Match Program. SBA Microlenders from the region also will be present to meet with attendees.
