Kaveri Subbarao

Kaveri is a dynamic, savvy lawyer, educator and entrepreneur with a best-in-class background in business, marketing and public relations.  She brings an insightful and highly strategic 360° perspective to legal and business issues that enables clients to identify and optimize opportunities, heighten profitability and minimize risk.  She joined Cohen Grigsby, P.C., an international law firm headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 2008 and is a practicing corporate attorney providing focused, proactive legal advice and business counsel to companies and individuals in all stages of development and in a variety of industries.  

She also serves as Cohen Grigsby’s chief marketing officer and is responsible for designing and stewarding the development and implementation of its worldwide marketing, public relations, training and business development initiatives.

Prior to joining Cohen Grigsby, Kaveri practiced corporate law at Reed Smith, LLP, a top 10 international firm, for six years and worked on a broad range of matters including securities, advertising and media, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, and international law.  She represented a host of diverse, Fortune 500 clients, in multi-million dollar corporate transactions.  Kaveri was named a Rising Star by Philadelphia Magazine in 2006 -- only 2.5% of Pennsylvania young attorneys are awarded this honor.

She was a Dean’s Fellow at American University's Washington College of Law in Washington, DC where she earned her J.D. by attending classes part-time while working full-time for the Exxon Mobil Corporation in rigorous and intensive roles managing business and marketing activities in North and South America.  During her six year tenure with ExxonMobil, she helped steward premier brands such as Mobil 1, Mobil, Exxon and Esso.  Among the ‘highlight reel’ of her career with ExxonMobil, she helped negotiate and develop strategic alliances, major sponsorships and licensing agreements with entities such as NASCAR, Miller Brewing Company, General Motors and WalMart.  She received her BA from Wheaton College in Massachusetts in Political Science and Economics.

She serves as adjunct faculty at both the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz School of Business and Chatham University teaching business law, entrepreneurship, branding, marketing, positioning, and public relations-related subjects.  

She is extremely involved in her community and serves as a member of the Board of the Squirrel Hill Urban Coalition and the Senator John Heinz History Center.  Kaveri is fluent in Sankethi, Kannada and French.  She lives in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with her husband Jon Nauhaus, her son Dylan, 3, daughter Zahra, 1, and two K-9 kids, Clancy and Crosby – both Yellow Labrador Retrievers.

Tandy A. Bailey

District Industrial Engineering Manager, UPS

Bailey

Tandy Bailey, District Engineering Manager for Laurel Mountain District, oversees engineering, planning, and operational support for small package operations in Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Tandy received a B.S.E. degree in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University. Tandy joined UPS while attending A.S.U., and has held various positions in engineering and operations, in Phoenix, Arizona, Des Moines, Iowa, and currently, Pittsburgh, during her 17 years with the company.

Tandy is a member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers, and a member of the Westmoreland United Way Women’s Leadership Council. She also serves as a board member, and volunteer, of the Westmoreland-Chestnut Ridge Red Cross Chapter.

Diane Holder

Executive Vice President, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC)
President and CEO, UPMC Health Plan

HolderDiane Holder is an Executive Vice President of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and President of the UPMC Health Insurance Division and President and CEO of UPMC Health Plan. The UPMC is one of the nation’s leading integrated delivery systems and through its health plans and affiliates, provides health coverage and benefit management for over one million men, women and children in Pennsylvania.  The Insurance Services Division _includes/ the UPMC Health Plan, UPMC for You, Community Care Behavioral Health Organization and Work Partners. These health benefits companies, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania manage benefits for Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare, Behavioral Health, EAP, Health Promotions and Worker’s Compensation programs.

Ms. Holder has held a number of leadership positions in health care including the CEO of UPMC’s Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic and was the founding CEO of Community Care Behavioral Health Organization.  Ms. Holder is a faculty member of the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Medicine and the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health.  She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and her master’s degree from Columbia University.

Ms. Holder serves on local and national boards including the Alliance of Community Health Plans, the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, Chatham College and Winchester Thurston School.  She is appointed by Governor Rendell as a Co-Chair for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Chronic Care Management, Reimbursement and Cost Reduction Commission.  She was recently named one of Pennsylvania’s Best 50 Women in Business and was a 2009 Pittsburgh Business Times Diamond Award winner.

Stephanie Novosel

Chief Operating Officer, PNC Corporate & Institutional Banking

Stephanie Novosel is Chief Operating Officer for Corporate Institutional Banking at PNC.  Ms. Novosel joined PNC Bank in 2000, bringing senior management experience in product and market planning and development from the mortgage finance industry.

As COO, Ms. Novosel is responsible for leading activities across the various client and product segments for Corporate Institutional Banking. In addition to working with each of the businesses that comprise CI banking to spearhead programs, tools, and resources that support the overall corporate client experience with PNC, she manages the client data and analytics, business integration, sales development and support, and strategic decision support departments.

Since joining PNC in 2000, Stephanie has had management responsibilities for several product areas and development initiatives.  Prior to her current role, she was Deputy Group Head and Business Manager for PNC's international services, including business and product development initiatives across trade finance and Global Treasury Management.  She has also managed product groups including the Bank’s commercial deposit and corporate investment lines, and has implemented and managed strategic business partnerships that have added products to complement the Bank’s treasury management offering.

Prior to joining PNC, she was senior vice president of market strategy and planning for Lender's Service, Inc., a mortgage subsidiary of Merrill Lynch Credit Corp.  Stephanie began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, working with audit, tax, and management consulting practices.

Ms. Novosel’s degree is in International Business from Chatham University (formerly Chatham College).  She is a member of the Association for Financial Professionals, is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), and serves as a member of the Advisory Committee to the Export-Import Bank of the United States.  Locally, she is Vice President of the Board of Directors for Reading Is Fundamental Pittsburgh.  She has served as Co-Chairperson for various charity events for the benefit of Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western PA, has served with Big Brothers / Big Sisters of Beaver County, and has participated in programs with Pittsburgh’s CORO Center for Civic Leadership. 

Mary A. Winston

Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Giant Eagle, Inc.

Mary A. Winston is best known as a highly successful executive who possesses both technical expertise and leadership effectiveness. Winston is a seasoned CFO whose career _includes/ global experiences in all major areas of Finance, across a number of different industries. Through these experiences she has developed both breadth of expertise and depth of knowledge.

Ms. Winston currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Giant Eagle, Inc. an $8 billion leader in grocery and fuel retail. Prior to joining Giant Eagle, Ms. Winston served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Scholastic Corporation (NASDAQ: SCHL) , a $2 billion global publishing, education and media company.

Other key positions include: Vice President, Treasurer and then, Vice President, Controller at Visteon Corporation, a multi-billion dollar global automotive supplier; Vice President, Global Financial Operations for the pharmaceutical business of Pfizer, Inc.; Vice President, Finance & Administration for the Canadian business and Vice President, Assistant Treasurer, International at Warner-Lambert (acquired by Pfizer); Director of Business Development & Strategy for the Biotech division of Baxter International; as well as several other management positions of increasing responsibility early in her career. She began her career in public accounting as an auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co.

In addition to several other honors, in 2006, Ms. Winston was named one of the 50 Most Powerful Women in Business by Black Enterprise magazine and in 2003 and in 2004, she was named one of the 100 Most Influential People in Finance by Treasury & Risk Management magazine.

Ms. Winston sits on the board of directors and is chairperson of the audit committee of Dover Corporation (NYSE: DOV), an $8 billion diversified manufacturer of industrial products. She also sits on the board and audit committee of Plexus Corporation (NASQ: PLXS), a $2 billion electronics contract manufacturer.

A Certified Public Accountant, she holds an M.B.A. degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin.
