Join the JKM Library, Chatham's food studies department, and our partners for an exciting celebration of food and literature! Do you like The Great British Bake Off? How about puns? Do books and/or food delight you? If the answer is yes to one or all of these questions, the International Edible Book Festival is for you!

What happens during it? Contestants create food or beverage items inspired by books, book characters, or reading in general. They can be as simple or as complicated as you'd like (think chocolate chip cookies for If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, or homemade spiced ice cream for Dune).

Bring your 'edible book' on the day of the event for judges and attendees to taste. The judges will evaluate each entry and award prizes, and all attendees will get a chance to vote for their favorites!

How can you participate? Register to either bring an 'edible book' as a contestant or just attend. It's important to register either way so we know how many people will show up to eat food.
