Carriage House
Drag is an art form with a rich history of challenging dominant norms and systems of oppression; building queer community; and cultivating experiences of queer joy in a hostile world. Critical drag explores drag performance as an outlet for social critique, pedagogy, and queer worldmaking. In this lunch and learn, Visiting Scholar Dr. Nino Testa will discuss the queer worldmaking practices of groups like the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, the drag king scene of Dallas, Texas, and more.
