What to Expect:
-Discover how DHS works across systems—health, housing, education, justice, and more—to improve outcomes for individuals and families in Allegheny County.
-Learn how DHS is advancing equity and supporting vulnerable populations through innovation, collaboration, and trauma-informed practices.
-Participate in a hands-on breakout activity where you’ll reimagine real-life resident experiences to promote dignity, empathy, and practical change.

No prior knowledge needed—just bring your curiosity and your desire to make a difference. You’ll also learn about internship opportunities and real career pathways with DHS, and connect directly with professionals who can help you find where you fit.
