Courses & Curriculum

Chatham offers an MFA (36 credit hours) and an MA (30 credit hours) in Creative Writing. This program is distinct from the MFA in Creative Writing in that no thesis is required, therefore removing ENG698 and the genre-specific thesis seminar course.

The MFACW/MACW program prepares students for careers in writing, editing, publishing, and web content development. It emphasizes improving writing skills through faculty interaction and peer collaboration while fostering critical analysis of literary works.

These are examples of degree progressions and schedules for a full-time or part-time student. These are for representative purposes only. Students' degree progression is determined by their start dates and other choices in conjunction with an academic advisor.
