Brandy Gershon
BIOGRAPHY
Brandy Gershon brings a unique blend of academic leadership, health sciences experience, and a lifelong commitment to wellness to her role as an adjunct faculty member in the Health and Wellness program. With more than fifteen years of experience in higher education, she has dedicated her career to strengthening pathways that support student success in health‑related fields.
Brandy currently serves as Interim Vice President of Enrollment Management at Chatham University, where she oversees Admissions and Financial Aid and advances strategic initiatives that promote student access and achievement. Prior to this role, she served as Administrator for Chatham’s College of Health Sciences, coordinating academic programs and external partnerships to enhance student preparation in nursing and the health sciences. Her earlier work as Director of Admissions at Chatham University and Director of College Counseling at Central Catholic High School reflects her long-standing commitment to student development, data‑informed decision‑making, and educational excellence.
Brandy will defend her Doctor of Education (EdD) in January 2025. She holds a Master of Education (MEd) in Educational Leadership and Administration from Duquesne University, a master's degree in organizational leadership from Robert Morris University, a bachelor's degree in human services from the University of Phoenix, and an associate degree in nursing from Mount Aloysius College. This interdisciplinary academic foundation spanning nursing, human services, leadership, and education deeply informs her teaching philosophy and her holistic approach to health and wellness.
A lifelong athlete with experience in ice hockey, softball, and rodeo, Brandy understands firsthand the importance of integrating physical, mental, and emotional well‑being. She is passionate about preparing future health professionals to embrace wellness as a core component of care, empowering them to help individuals and communities achieve optimal health.
