Degree Progression
A minimum of 30 credits is required to earn the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree. Students may transfer up to 6 credit hours of master’s level nursing credits into the program, pending approval of the external syllabi by course faculty. There are two concentration areas available: Education and Leadership.
The program starts in the fall or spring semester, and all students will follow a part-time pace of 6 credits over 5 semesters, as outlined in the examples below. A student's actual course progression will be determined based on the starting semester, concentration, and other considerations for specific situations.
