Funding Opportunities

Chatham University's social work program offers two unique funding opportunities for students.

The Maggie Hobbs Social Work Award is an annual monetary award given to a full-time senior majoring in social work based on academic accomplishments; demonstration of social work skills, values, and ethics; and contributions to the social work program, the discipline of social work, and the Chatham community.

The Deborah Rubin Scholarship Fund of the Class of 1962 Scholarship Challenge was established in honor of Chatham Professor Emeritus, Dr. Deborah Rubin, with a generous matching gift from the Class of 1962. Dr. Rubin was a founding faculty member of the Social Work Program and later led Chatham’s Social Work Department as Program Director, where she served from 1998 to 2018. This scholarship provides recognition and financial assistance to an undergraduate who is a social work major and has completed their first year of study. This annual scholarship is selected by the Office of Financial Aid.
