How to Take the Duolingo English Test

If you do not have a TOEFL or IELTS score, the English Language Program accepts the Duolingo English Test. It takes about 45 minutes to complete the test on your own computer. You will receive the results within 48 hours.

The registration fee for the test is $49, and you can take the test on your computer by going to their website from one of Duolingo's approved browsers. Your computer will need to have a camera and microphone in order to take the test. At the end of your test, select Chatham University - English Language Program from the dropdown menu to share your score with us. You will receive an email notification to confirm once your test has been scored and shared.

You can login to review your score at any time. If you experience any technical problems with the test or coupon, you will see instructions on how to contact Duolingo support, or you can also email them directly. Please do not contact the admissions office, as we cannot assist you with technical issues.
